For the attached circuit, and 1sec delay, diff for C4 point = 67.530. Way too unreal. What are the constants to be set for real ripple results?

just a little resurrection of original topic..

i'm in similar situation as original poster, technically more-less knowing PSU attributes, but the question of ideal value has been unknown to me (i know the best is to try and hear)

i can see that for example on Russian/Bulgarian etc. forums there is a convention of monstrous values in PSUs, often tens of thousands of uF, the final cap as well, practically on every schematic there. Here i can often see concerns about too attacky or bloated (or mid-high degraded) sound with 100-200uF.

I'd be glad to finally learn something about this.. thanks
