Default Hammond 125E improved?

Just got one of these for a guitar amp project, and it was listed in the catalog as 150-15kHz +-1dB. But, when I got the unit, the sticker on it claims "100-20kHz Freq Response". Did they rewind these recently?

Hi Joel,

Just took a quick look on Hammond's website (www.hammondmfg.com). The 125E is rated 150-15K, the 125ESE is rated 100-15K. None of the 125 series is rated to 20K (+/-1dB re. 1Khz).

I wonder if someone put on the wrong sticker?

Gary

Well, the sticker definitely says "125E", so it is the right one.

The 125ESE is almost twice as big as the 125E

On a more serious note, I have four 125ESE's at home as well. There is no mistaking it for a 125E or vice versa.

This is definitely the right sticker, on the right transformer - it just has a different spec than their (now out of date) website and catalog.
