Altec Lansing 440B preamplifier

I just got my hands on the afore mentioned pre-amp and am looking for any info i can... googling gives a dearth of info

The Sams Photofact index shows models 440C and A440A covered in folder 305-3 (1956). Unfortunately, that one isn't in my collection.

I suspected Sam's might be a source, thanx for the confirmation...
