I'm in the process of rebuilding a very old HiFi amp into a guitar amp. The amp was completely replaced with new components, including alpha pots.
The old pots had D shafts that were a little bit longer than the new alpha pots, which means the old knobs won't fit (unless I drill them out carefully). I'm looking for a set of knobs that have a long back end that would fit onto a new alpha pot. Here's a photo of the amp. The pot is mounted on the amp chassis, and the shaft goes through a hole in the speaker baffle board and grill cloth. Any ideas? Thanks!! |

Radio Shack sells Alpha pots with 2" long shafts. You can cut them down to any length.

I forgot to mention that one of them is a volume/on/off combo 1M/switch, which is why I wanted to stay with the standard Alpha pot.
