Tube projects

Someone had a comment that a phono tube preamp wasn't the easiest first project. Is there an easy but usefull project?

Yes, start with a line stage. In a couple of weeks, I expect Jim McShane to finalize a cost effective nice sounding kit. Look here.

Eli, do you know anything more about the MacShane kit (that you can talk about)? It could well supplant the Foreplay as the value line stage.
