MingDa MC-3R / icon audio la3 preamp mods
Hi I have been making a few modifications to my preamp, which so far sound great.
I started with re-cabling a one pair of the inputs directly to the volume control, bypassing the selector. Then have removed the dc blocking caps to a pair of the output rca. I have also used some mundorf .033uf caps in parallel with the existing .33uf input caps. I currently have replaced the signal valves with some second hand mullards, and am considering changing the Rectifier. Does anyone have any other ideas/experience for modifications to the preamp for maximise its performance? Any ideas or pointers greatly appreciated, |
