Hi,
My recent insterest is building tube headphone amp. I have used Panasonic TSHA 470uf cap in the OTL output in two projects, and they sound pretty to my ears. Now I am startin a new OTL project and wondering what other choices I have. I have ordered some Nichicon Muse cap - they are cheap so I don't mind giving it try. Is the Sprague Atom any good in this application? Not at all familiar with black gate cap, don't know which type is for output cap. Or any place I can find ASC 100uf cap? |

Are you building a single ended OTL?

Most of my OTL amp use CF/WCF in the output stage. Another one I have is a parafeed with 40uf ASC cap.

Hi,Your best bet is a film/foil cap which doesn't dry out and it's forever.
