I am about to purchase a Melody valve integrated amp and I would like to know how easy would it be to Pre Amp Out sockets so I can use my Magnum SS monoblocks to bi-amp my system.
Any suggestions please? Regards Mike |

The Melody SP3 integrated has "bypass" outputs. These would almost certainly be the full "line level" tapped from after the source selection but before the Melody's stepped attenuator "volume" control.
If your Magnum has volume controls then you are all set - no mod required. If the Magnum does not have volume controls then you should perhaps purchase/build something to provide those controls rather than attempt to mod the Melody. Even if you can tap off the circuit after the Melody's stepped attenuator, there is no guarantee that the output would be at the right level to suit the Magnum. I hope this is useful advice. Cheers, Ian |
