Default Kr300bxls

Hi Guys
I was looking at this tube and thinking up to 20 watts from a 300b type tube.... expensive yes but i would need 2 of the cooking version of 300bs to get close to this power output.
Has anyone had experience with the 300bxls?
Do they have the same timbre etc of the 300b or can they be considered a different tube altogether?
Thanks
Nick

Default kr300bxls specs

Specifications Value
Pure Class-A Power (watts) 15-24
Plate Voltage Average (Volts) 450
Plate Voltage Maximum (Volts) 600
Plate Current Average (mA) 100
Plate Current Maximum (mA) 160
Plate Dissipation (watts) 70
Transconductance (mA/V) 4.8
Grid Voltage -95
Amplification Factor 3.6
Plate Resistance (ohms) 650
Load Resistance (ohms) 2000
THD (%) <0.1
Power Output (watts) 18
Filament Voltage (volts DC/AC) 5
Filament Current (A) 1.9

These are the specs of kraudio of the US.
I have had output transformers wound with a primary Impedance of 1.5k and they are rated at 180mA. Given the load impedance is 2k will this be too much of a problem?
The other iron which was intended for PSE 300b's should allow me to have adequete b+ (395-0-395 V @ 350mA)
So i think i might go for the 300bxls's unless i read otherwise.
My only concern is of course reliability of the tube and long term availability.
Anyone got any thoughts?
