Active crossover

hi,

I'm looking for a simple schematic of a 2 way 12dB/oct active

crossover with 12AU7 or 6CG7

the crosover frecuency should be 2khz (aprox).

You can download a X-over designer from Elektor Electronics:
Tube-Based Crossover
Gives you a PCB-designer as well.

A related question. It has been a looooooooonnnnnnnnnngg time since linear circuit analysis class. Can anyone explain how to derive the transfer function for that 3rd order LP as shown in the above link? Does one have to model the tube or can you somehow derive the voltage division of the ladder network and then layer on the effect of the feedback capacitor?

I would like to understand this circuit well enough to move poles around and also adapt it to sand (sorry I got lots o sand and low voltage power transformers on hand on no tube stuff yet).

mike
