Default 7591 se tube amp?

Hi , I was unable to find a 7591 se schamatics ( a la Zen) . This is great sounding , easy to drive tube, would give 3-4W in se configuration, has anybody tried it? I was advised to to try this simple calculation by myself, and I will , I promise, I just would like to have something somebody has tried already, thanks.

Assuming 20% efficiency for triode wired 7591s, 3.8 W. is what you'll get. Max. plate dissipation for the 7591 is 19 W.

Circuitry that drives EL84s and 6V6s also drives 7591s. A 12AV7 family tube, fed directly by a CDP, will do very nicely driving 2X SE 7591s.

Use 3.5 KOhm or slightly greater primary impedance O/P trafos. Tie the screen grids to the plates with 330 Ohm Carbon comp. resistors, which act both as stoppers and as current limiters.

I leave the RC cathode bias network calculation to you.

7591 data sheet here.

I found 7591 was superb in Ultralinear but quite boring as a triode. Maybe you should be looking at either UL SE or another tube?

I didn't have a SE 7591. I used it in push pull. I always loved that tube in PP since having a McIntosh amp that used them. I then tried it in triode and found it very ordinary - seemed to lose its tone and dynamics.
