Troubleshooting Problem in Tube Preamp

Please help try to solve my problem. I just purchased a Dynaco PAS2 Preamp and it worked fine untill one of the tubes seemed to blow, (it was only glowing half as bright as the rest). I replaced it and still have the problem. The problem is I only have half output on the right channel and full output on the left channel. If I use the tape output then I have full output on both channels.

Any suggestions pleassssse.

Measure the DC voltages on the line amp tube from the suspect channel. Post your results and I'll bet we'll all have some good ideas.

All dc voltages are correct as per the owner's manual. Starting to suspect the RCA connectors. Going to replace them tomorrow. I will let you know. Thanks

Hi,

You could be right there...tubes rarely ever die just like that.
Also check for a faulty contact on the selector switch.
