DCG5/5000GS Valve
 
I have a handful of these large valves apparently made by Philips. Can someone on these forums give me some information about them: What are they and are they useful in audio amplifiers?

These are half-wave mercury vapour rectifiers . Useful for high voltage choke-input supplies
