Anyone know anything about this tube? According to the guy I just bought 20 from, they are 6688/E180F equivalent, but I can't find a datasheet to verify this. Anyone tried them?

You find the oddest stuff
Duncan just has pinouts, I'm sure you've found: http://tdsl.duncanamps.com/tubesearch2.php?TSD=6j9p My suggestion, breadboard an E180F pre and get it working just right, then drop in the 6J9P and see what happens. Cheers! |

Yeah, I figured I'd just drop them into a working circuit, but I also thought I should ask about them in case there is some unexpected weirdness.

They arrived. They are physically larger than the 6688's, but they test the same in my tester, and dropped into a circuit seem to work just fine.
