switch snubber for Aikido

I am re-wiring my Aikido for tube rectification. I am using a trafo with 550VAC with a center-tap.

Current draw will be around 24mA at something like 300VDC, using a 5V4GA.

In my old PSU, I had a snubber network between trafo output (250VAC) and the diode bridge - see the schematic.

Anyway, I want to at least have a switch-arc preventing snubber for switch-off. Can I use these same components, and would I move them to a different location - say the 0.1uF across the switch contacts?

Charlie
