I have an amp that looks basically like the image below. I'd like to add a shunt to the pot to increase the input impedance a little so I can use a smaller coupler in the previous stage. I have gain to spare, so losing a little is fine. The question is two fold: first, for a 50K pot, is a 50K resistor too large, or is that a reasonable starting point? -- I never turn the pot past about 10:00 as it is. Second, should these resistors be right on the pins of the pot, right at the input jacks, or does it matter?
