Hi,

According to RCA this tube was designed for AC heater operation.

It requires 1.5 V at 1.05 A and can be fed from DC as well.

When DC is used to operate the filament, the grid and plate returns should be connected to the negative filament terminal.

For AC the plate and grid return lead should be brought to 1/ the wiper of a 20 to 40 Ohm pot across the filament winding, or 2/ the CT of the xformer winding itself.

Dixit RCA anno 1933...

Ciao,;)
