Hi I am looking for an amplifier schematic in class A1 using 6sn7 and 45 tubes.
I am interested in Single Ended topology or Parallel Single Ended. Please post anything you have got, Thank you very much.

Hi,
You may use the Sun Audio's 2A3 schematic for use with the 45 tube with only modification of the cathode resistor from 750 ohm to 1.5K. It employs 6SN7-6SN7-2A3. I trimmed the B+ to approx 310Vdc with double LCLC B+ filter. It sounds very nice indeed. Johnny |

Hi,
I built the project outlined in Glass Audio magazine (3/95). "Single ended glory for under $100" by Eric Barbour. His cost assumes a well stocked "junk box". It cost me about $400. Mr Barbour is a tube circuit designer for Svetlana tubes. His 45 amp uses 6sn7 input, is simple and sounds fantastic in my opinion. mg16 |

Thank you all for your replies!
The thing is that I need a schematic and maby some notes about the transformer for both single ended and parallel single ended... Because I do not have these magazine issues.. anyone please?

Here is a link to an article by the designer about how he put together a 45 amp.

Ok, that sounds like a good deal.
How about this one? http://members.myactv.net/~je2a3/simple45.htm Is it worth it? It seems a quite easy to build design... If more gain needed I could use another 6sl7 to add a third stage. Could an 6sn7 be used? Any other schematics?

Thank you for the circuits.
As far qas I can see not many differences to each other. Relatively simple signal path and psu. Easy to construct despite of the costly tubes and transformers..
