Default Aikido output cap selector switch

On his Aikido PCB, Jim Broskie has designed pads for two stets of output caps. He suggests that this would allow for different flavours of caps, or different values of the same flavour.

These two sets of caps can be switched using a selector.

So, what kind of selector would be better - make before break, or break before make?

And....has anyone found a really classy-looking switch/knob that would work?

Thank-you in advance,

Charlie

I would use a make-before-break switch to help prevent any popping noises. And I prefer ceramic rotory types with "Alco" solid aluminum knobs of which there are many styles.

Classy? Too subjective. One man's class is another man's funk.

edit: I received my Aikido boards a couple of weeks ago and was impressed with their quality. My winter project.

Another way to minimize popping when switching is to make sure each cap output has a pull down resistor, if it doesn't already on the Aikido board.

For knobs, a lot of times I go to a music store. Some stores carry a big assortment of custom knobs for guitars and basses that can work good for diy amps as well.
