I've got a tube/transistor tester of some kind of Italian brand. The problem is that I don't have the service manual and without it is impossible to operate it.
Does anyone know this one, or better, has anyone a operation manual for this tube tester. The text on the tester says that it's a Provavalvole / Provatransistori model 891 and it comes from Chinaglia Belluno Italy. |

Are you able to post a photograph of it?

Hello Sjef,
I see your question about Chinaglia Belluno Mod. 891 Tubetester. Did you find the corresponding User Manual for this tester? If yes, could you please send me a copy of the document or indicate where I can be provided for such documentation. Indicate the cost condition for a postal expedition if an Internet tranfert is not possible. Best wishes for new year and success in old radio restoring activities Best regards Dan HUMBLOT 8 Rue FOURY 92310 Sèvres France |

Hi Dan,
No unfortunatly I have never found any manual for the tube tester. I have stopped searching for it after a while and it now resides in my closet for the last two years, maybe someday ?????? |

The manual for this tester is available by mail for 11 Euro here:
http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaver.../tmprovav.html The site is in Italian, but I believe he speaks English as well. Contact information here:http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaver.../contatta.html Note I expect if you could not read Italian well enough to understand the information he provided on his site, that the manual itself might be a bit hard to understand. Incidentally this model is an emission based tester, imo not that useful. I'd look for something that tests for transconductance. (Regardless of what he says to the contrary, although his point about tester to tester variations even with transconductance testers is well taken.) Testing the limits of my not so good Italian reading this site..
