Output Noise question
Hi,
I was wondering whether someone could give me some guidance - I am testing the first of my C3G/PX25 DRD monoblocks and currently have around 2.5-3.0 mV of hum on the output. This level I can hear through my speakers from my sitting position. There are a number of bits and pieces that I still need to implement in this monoblock, like screening the input wire and sorting out the star ground for the CLCLC supply. The question that I have is what is a suitable noise level to aim for? 1.0mV? My speakers are around 97db/M. Thanks in advance, Ian |
Hi Ian,
Take a signal with 100 Hz to your loudspeaker terminals and decrease the signal to the level of your choice... Regards Andreas |
Thanks Andreas,
I never even thought of that :ashamed: Should be quite easy to test. Thanks again, Ian |
