Hi Guys, Here is my new toy Diy 6J5, 10Y, 300B with some modifications on the circuit of Larry Moore.
The means characteristic of the 300B with crystal clarity of the VT-25 or 10Y, thus giving the best answer in the whole frequency range.

Hola,

What modifications did you make? Got an updated schematic?

Gracias,

I use VT-62 as driver tube. I started with 10Y/VT-25 but ended up using 10Y for another project. ;) So I used VT-62 instead.

Attached schematic show an opamp buffer driving Electra-Print opamp transformer loading to get some gain to VT-62.

Hi José, the tube VT-25 now work as power tube in my 6J5 6SN7 VT-25, wow I only say is a great tube, my set 2A3 work well, the 45 is well, but with the 300B I have more problems I do not think anything special, will only fame? I build, 6SN7 300B in cascade, SRPP 6SL7-6L6 and now 6SQ7-6AG7, I dont no with the 300B.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Hi, here's my version of VT-62 driving 300B. It doesn't sound as full body as transmitting tube but very pleasing.

Have you had any problems with hum? I see that you have the power transformer and the output transformers lined up with one another. Isn't that a no no?
