I have some Zener diodes and 6080 tubes. I'm thinking to build a regulated PSU around 250v for a headphone amp. What is the simplest way?

Without starting an argument about the need or otherwise for a regulating the PS of headphone amp, the best approach would be a parallel regulator with a suitable series resistor, either using series zeners across the output or using the tube with a zener in its cathode and a voltage divider to its grid across the output.

I also have some 6080 I would like to use. Plus I have some voltage reference tubes 5651 it would be good to use. I found this schematic but any comments would be appreciated.

Steve Bench has a series on regulators that should give you some ideas
