Dear group,
I have made the most startling discovery! I've built an entire amp where no connections are made to any of the tubes! It works beautifully. As I predicted, all prior theory on tubes was incorrect! They don't need to be biased, or have voltages applied to them, or even be in sockets!!!! I really am smarter than all those dumb RCA engineers. My research shows quite clearly that bias, coupling, the behavior of capacitors, and current flow are all myths. note: I may do an upgrade later on and scotch tape the tubes to the bottom of the box, because they do roll around quite a bit... Cheers! No grid connection |
