CCS turning off premature

One of my amps has a stage with a CCS loaded 12ax7 and it seems to be clipping about 25 volts before it hits the supply rail. Is it possible the transistor is turning off due to lack of current?

Could be, could be something else (even a measurement error is possible at these impedances). A schematic would help.

Or to put it another way, the CCS allows the 12AX7 to swing its anode to within 25V of the HT. That's pretty good.
