21mA is a bit high for an ECC83!

does the formula only work with ecc83. example numbers are for a 5881 tube. but any sample numbers would be fine.

update: in reading furthur it turns out that there is no simple formula. you need to do vertical and horizontal plots. I was looking for a simple formula to check the accuracy of my tube tester. It would be nice to be able to use a bias probe to get current and then measure plate voltage...put the numbers in the formula and compare to the meter reading. I do have a calibrated calibration tube, but it only works in the 1000 to 4000 range. I want to see if I have nay transformer sage when testing high power octals.
