Default Maida Regulator Parts

Guys,

Maida Regulators are going to be needed here.

Would somebody please recommend a replacement for the discontinued NSD134 NPN transistor.

TIA.

TIP50 - good for 400V
For voltages above that you are getting into quite specialised and expensive stuff. Cheaper selections (if you can find them are below, note all these avail out of Farnell catalogue).

500V try BUL312FP
650V try BUL1403ED
700V try BU508D
800V try BUL216

Cheers,
Ian

Thanks guys. TIP50 it is. B+ in those old Fisher "boxes" is 110 V.

This may be a good place to use the TL783 3 pin regulator. It's a stand alone device good for up to 125v input-output differential. No pass transistor required.

You don't need a pass transistor if and only if you can guarantee that the voltage differential will not exceed 125V at turn on or turn off. For a 150V supply, I'd be leery of that.
