Hmmm....??
Wonder what cables and/or what equipment you are listening to. Even my +80 old parents, who are not audiophiles by any means , hears the difference!

Well until a couple of months ago I could hear the difference between cables, but I didn't think the differences were very large.

But now..well, I shocked myself. I'll be writing it all up soon. But one telling thing was when I demoed the new interconnect against my old one to a friend. His first reaction was accusing me of cheating and playing a different version of the same song.

You know, some people think amps all sound the same

..or that chipamps sound great...(but let's not go there)

Very interested in another approach - I was a bit surprised at the difference that Cryo treatment to some silver interconnects made to the sound - more noticeable that double annealing and that was quite apparent.

JH: This is something I mean to try sometime. I've found a place locally that can do cryo treatment quite cheaply. But save this please for my new upcoming interconnect thread. I'll be sure to post links to it when I write it all up. Thanks.

I haven't built my Mozzie yet - still getting things together - is there anyone over here in Melb that you know has finished one?

Looking forward to this new IC.

Somehow it's nice to know that there is even more performance locked up in your amp, so one day when you have some more money you can upgrade caps and make it sound even better. Same with those goddamn Vishay resistors that cost almost $10 each.
Even if you build with budget parts it will still blow the pants off just about every other amp.
Thank you.

i have a terrible hum but only 1 channel connected now.

i used steel btw instead of aluminium for the housing, i know this is wrong but could this be the cause of the humm?

besides the humm it sounds great, though the highs are a bit harsh.

the humm does not get louder with increasing volume.

200mv across the source resistors (0,2ohm) 2pairs buz900/905 per channel.

where did you take the speaker ground to?

Mine go right to the "0"V on the MOSFET PSU cap bank. 1 ground wire from there also goes to star ground point on chassis. IEC Inlet to star ground point and 1 wire from Aikido board to star ground.

Mine is absolutely dead silent.
