Alright then.

P.S. This PS1 looks conseptually like a MOSFET MAIDA as I had mentioned in a previous post. The M-MAIDA uses an Enhancement MOSFET IRF840 and LM317T. In this one the HV shielding component is a Depletion MOSFET. IXYS one. The reg chip is a low drop out 3A. Stick 1K stopper resistor where it says G if it will give you trouble again in another application. And/or exchange the IXYS with a Supertex DN2540. Make sure its insulated to its sink. Having no direct experience with that reg, just a guess.

Im the snake charmer at Camden Market. I just talk about the snakes but I never show them. Actually the dusty 6V6 plank found her self a new plank today. Gonna see what a proper linear setup can do. Got a new pair of 99 dB speakers with Faital 15XA38Nd pro elements home today. Gosh it was emberrassing to hear every scrappy detail of the rest of the soundchain.
