well..I do have a toroid that I can use...

AS1T230
Electrical Characteristics
Outputs 4x

Keeping the choke load and dropping the resistors to 560 looks like I can still get there right?

Id say its in the region of 37 ohm if you use specs under load and let PSUDII count backwards by pressing the [...] button on the trannys properties.

47uF after choke means that rectifier isn't jeopardized with induced peaks .......

this solution can be almost on par with best solution - choke input filter+shunt reg , but we are here slightly short in voltage for that ....

halfen R1 and you've got 20-25 V to shunt, but I dont think it will be audible. Just over a mV already...
