I believe he is well aware about it. But it is directly heated tube, unlike 6V6.

I've got some slated for a small SE power amp..

I also have 6P15P, these in addition to the 4P1L I seem to recollect were bought on your advice.. One of these days I will get around to doing something with them..

That is a great one in triode, maybe better than EL84 itself that its supposed to be the Russian alike, but has 3 times the gm of 6V6. Will give much gain for useful line pre with today sources I think.

It has denser screen grid. Russian EL84 is 6P14P. 9-pin version of 6V6 is 6P1P

IIRC the 6P15P is similar to the 6CW5/EL86, but I don't recollect the 6CW5 being quite that linear - although it has a lot of fans based on its sound quality.
