Default has anyone used the 4-125A in SE amp ?

I have a collection of these valves, whilst i have an application for a push/pull amp i don't want to build it.
I would like to know if the valve is suited to single ended applications.

Best way to find out may be to try it. The high plate voltage (3000+) and low (400 IIRC) G2 voltage will be a problem in that you will need a separate G2 supply. I think I`d be tempted to tie both grids together and use as driving grid making a seldom employed triode connection. Gain will be low so large driver swing will be required if you go this route. The 4-125A looks very impressive all lit with plate glowing a dull orange at rated dissipation.
