there and difference of sound between WE 300b the new production and NOS we 300b
there is the someone that has made comparative tests reliable?

Hi,
I have never heard a NOS WE 300B so I cannot give a full answer.

However, I have new production WE 300Bs and can tell you that these are very, very good sounding valves and I personally can say that they are worth the money, to me.

They replace TJ mesh plate (high version) and the differences are clear, with WE's better in just about every way.

are the WE better enough to justify the hugely multiplied cost.

from the reviews i've seen, there are some russian & chinese ones that are comparable at a reasonable price.

And collector/prestige value. There's no output tube in that dissipation range in the history of tube manufacture worth that kind of money from an electrical standpoint. Sociology and psychology are different questions and that's well beyond my feeble understanding.
