6AN8 Triode connection + EL 84 PP

Fine as I can see Franco!

I presume you have checked the voltages - I do not have 6AN8 data as triode. You use this as a low gain amplifier, directly from CD etc. I presume. You could use the 6AN8 as pentode if ever more gain is desired - don't be discouraged by urban legends regarding pentode input stages.

A resistor from the wiper pot to ground provides a good safety in case the volume control goes intermittent. I'll leave it to those who like global negative feedback ):P but the high pass frequency into the final stage seems high at >16 Hz.

Agreed Rdf - I think you have suggested that in the past?

I really have to remember that myself; good hint. Also on bias wipers, so as to take g1 full negative for the same reason.
