the volume pot is a stepped attenuator built using milspec Vishay Dale. here's the datasheet: http://www.vishay.com/docs/31027/cmfmil.pdf
The tube is a 6H30 with around 150V in one of the plate and 75V on the other. heater is running at 6V 825mA. There is a side of the pot quite close to the 6h30. possibly about 5mm apart. maybe less. I looked at the datasheet for the resistor and I think I'm still okay up to 125degrees Celcius. any ideas/comments? thank you. |

I think it will be ok, all of your electronics will be happier if ventilation is good. I assume resistors are sized generously for their duty.
I suspect if conditions are really too hot for it, the "pot" failing will be least of your problems. If theres really low level signal on the "pot" heater dress on the tube is even more important than usual.
