noob question

You do know what you are asking, don't you? Oh wait, wasn't there a Chinese amp that had a vacuum tube rectifier that could be removed and the amp never skipped a beat. The tube heaters were connected but the amp had diodes underneath.
So maybe you could just get all the tubes and transformers and put that on top of a F4 built underneath. Of course where would you hide the heatsinks?
Sorry for the sarcasm but the answer is NO. Like putting the head of a pig on a cat.

The F4 definitely needs a preamp with some decent gain. I would suggest a proven preamp circuit like an aikido or some type of ccda or srpp for front end duty.

I had an F4 and used the burning amp front end on it and even with a preamp it was just about right.

Check out moscode amps or outside of this site google the moskido...interesting variants of tube front ends with MOSFET output power stages.
