Has any body built or heard both versions of the SPP, for an opinion on the sound characteristics? I have a pair of Sansui OPT from an old Sansui 1000 tube receiver and it would seem a no brainer to use them with the EL-86 tubes. The Sansui transformers measure 3.3. if the sound isn't as good as the EL-84 version, I'm not sure I want to try it , though.
