Phono stage

Hi every one

Still loving the SSE, AMAZING Sound, I am currently running my PC playing Flac music files and sound is as stated AMAZING.
When winter comes(sorry I know its summer) I will endeavour to reconstruct a turn table, and I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a tubed Phono stage.

I built the cornet2 and am very pleased with it. I don't have golden ears mind you, but I don't think you would be disappointed. Easy build, not overly expensive, tweakable if you want to go that route. I built mine stock and feel no need for boutique parts, but of course ymmv. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone

tubes4hifi : PH14 phono preamp

Also go for the ph16 if you want something better. I modified my ph14 and it is very good tube phono. It is very clean sounding like transistors but has no feedback.

Bottlehead also makes phono pre kits and so does audionote. I have not built either.

I'm in the beginnings of building the 'His Master's Noise" and, in all honesty, would not be surprised if I build at least one of the other phonostages I have listed in the next year. (I really like building phonostages...)
