Evan I would love Electra prints but not to sound cheap but at this point I keep spending and spending and have nothing to show yet.....long story short I built one bd then dropped it on the floor causing i believe it was c4 and its pads to ripped off the board. I did have another blank that I decide to populate and now that I am done soldering that second bd I am now looking at redoing the magnetics.

I was digging around on the DIY forum as well as Edcor's website and noticed that the GXSE15-8-5K (15watt) OPT is good for 40-18k Hz. If I bump up to the CXSE25-8-5K (25 watt) OPT it 20-20K Hz and $100 more for the pair. My question is, will there be a noticeable (audible) change between them? enough to justify 100 bucks more?

I have heard the GXSE15, but not the CXSE25 in the Tubelab SSE. What I have read on George's website and from various posts, the bigger OPT will give you better low frequency performance, specially using bigger tubes like the KT88. The smaller OPTs are likely to have a slight edge in mid-range and high frequencies, but YMMV; it will also depend on the material being listened to, choice of tubes, speakers, and taste.

Asking SET amp to do well in the low 3 octaves is not a frugal approach. I would say use a subwoofer for it with its own amp or a P-P amp.
