Volumecontrol hookup

Hi all!
I have used my TSE for a year now. Works greate.
I was thinking, i have a 50k step volume control at the signal input.
Is the 121k (r8) really needy when you have a volume pot?
Thanks //Daniel

Technically it is not needed, but it will help reduce noise if the pot has some momentary dead spots, and may save the 5842 if the pot goes open. In a perfect world with a perfect pot, the resistor can contribute some added thermal noise. In the real world you shouldn't notice it. I would leave it in there.

Thanks. I leave it as it is..
