Default SSE power transformer question

When you have exactly 440 B+ with tube rectifier and a 370-0-370 transformer, what can you expect your B+ to be with 375-0-375 transformer and same tube rectifier? What about solid state which I haven't tried with the 370-0-370?

At most a 1.35% increase in voltage.

And at most a 1.35% increase in power dissipation. (tube = constant current load)

This also assumes that the different transformers have equivalent source resistance.

Solid state Will raise the B+.

Be careful you do not exceed the filter cap voltage rating or the current supply capability of the transformer. Tube rectifiers offer a free "soft start" function that SS diodes don't.

Thank you. I don't have the new tranny yet so I couldn't put the meter on it. This will help with my estimations. Edcor is great, but slow.
