Default Gain of SSE driver stage

I have seen several sources on how to calculate the gain of a simple tube stage, but all of the equations involve a plate resistor as a variable.

In the case of a CCS loaded triode, such as in the SSE, how does one calculate gain?

If the math turns out to be overly complicated, perhaps someone can answer these questions from practical experience:
1) what is the gain of the 12at7 as configured in the SSE?
2) what would the gain be if I swapped in a 12bh7 instead?
3) if I did swap in a bh7, should I change the value of the cathode resistor or bypass cap? I might bump up the ccs to 15-20ma.

With CCS, gain is close to mu. With 12AT7 about 50-60x, and 12BH7 about 16x. Try bumping up the CCS to 15ma. If the gain is too high, you could also use negative feedback to reduce it.
