With a mu of over 80, the D3a has good specs to drive 300B and 845. I was wondering if anyone tried it for replacing 5842/WE417A. Of course it would have to be wired offboard.

Does D3a have any issues with oscillation? Does it sound good? 5842/417A is the best sounding driver tube but I need more gain.
