Hi to all.
I m on gathering the parts for TubeLab SE but icant find the FREDS for negative voltage for the bias.As the title says what alternative diodes can i use and if it is possible to tell me where i can find them.I m from Greece and i ve searched in a local electronic store but i didnt find anything. thank you. . |

You want the Fairchild ISL9R8120P2 solid state rectifier diodes.

After a couple of hours googling these diodes (FREDS), i found them in a french site and i ordered them.I ll have in mind the alternatives you suggest so thank you very much. |

Glad you found some. Keep in mind there is a high incidence of failure reports over recent batches of the IXYS parts. The Fairchild diodes appear to be much more rugged, and if you have the opportunity I'd recommend you use them instead. See some comments here:
