Those appear to be the Menno Van Der Veen design. Very nice, from what I understand, but not cheap.
I would have thought conventional structured torroids would be a bad idea. SE transformers generally have an air gap to mitigate the effect of the unbalanced primary DC. Putting an air-gap in a steel strip toroid is not possible, so other special arrangements would have to be incorporated.

It is possible to put an air gap in a toroid core.

A matter of dialects maybe, but I would not be calling that a toroidal transformer: to me that is a "C-core".
