If i go with solid state rectification (required for one version of the simple PP) i loose my soft start of the b+. Also the standby switch option is not recommended anymore.

Is the cl90 120ohm ntc 2amp from mouser on the power transformer primary all i need?

Yes, that is all you need from a soft-start perspective. In my Simple PP which does use tube rectification, I'm finding that B+ comes before the output tubes are warmed up enough anyway.
