Using Simple SE with a preamp

Nope. Just watch if your preamp has alot of gain that you are not clipping the amp when trying to play it louder.
If it is permanent then you could eliminate the volume pot, not required though.

I like to use my preamp with the SSE using CFB. I get the gainback.
 
Hi all,
I am a little confused about the lowering the gain on my simple se.
I am using a 26 DHT pre amp, and finding the gain too high on the SSE.
What input valves can i drop in place to lower the gain, and any components i need to change on the PCB?
Is the 12bh7 such a tube?
