Jumper D1 and D2?
NO ! That would put a short across the power transformer making it very unhappy!.
To use a tube rectifier simply plug in a rectifier tube. Remove the jumper (or open the switch) across the SW1 terminals.
If you plan to always use the tube rectifier and not use the solid state diodes, the diodes may be simply left out of the board. Leave the holes empty.

Yup, you can even get zip ties with an eyelet built into the end.

How the heck do you post pix here? I've tried every combo of and get nothing but the URL. [/B][/QUOTE]
To have a pic appear in the body of your message, you need to put the file in your webspace or on a public picture server, and link to it. The disadvantage of this method is that future (years) readers may not see the pic if it has been moved or deleted from its location 'out there on the web'.
You can attach a pic using the 'Browse' button at the bottom of the 'Post reply' compose window, if it is less than 100k and of suitable size (800x...., 680 x ...). Limited to one pic per reply. Advantage: the image is archived with the diyaudio pages for future users to see.
Cheers
