Hi,

Then you're not looking very closely.

Not just the U.K. either.
Just this weekend alone thousands of people tried to illegally enter Italian territory.

Remember we saved your whole continent and since then you have resented us for being better than you are, get used to it.

Oh dear....There we go again...
Better? Better at what exactly?
Either way that kind of discussion is TOTALLY pointless.

The Chinese flood of cheap goods has hurt the economy and the only way to stop it is to levy high tariffs or stop trade which is not possible.

Geee...Who wanted to open up that market in the first place, I wonder?
It's a two way street but you guys only want to take I presume...

Life is not fair, too bad.

Some people try hard to make it as fair as can be...Why would that be so bad?

Cheers,;)

Ok, so what ARE you latest numbers? Which way is the trend going and at what rate?
Judging by the constant moaning of the CBI and IOD, downwards
So much so that certain sectors of the IT industry have entered into the dubious practice of advertising jobs at artificially low rates and then complaining to the goverment that there aren't enough workers and can the goverment up the quota on skilled migrants.

I don't see people by the thousand trying to get into England like they do here, they are looking for jobs that they can find here and not in thier home countries.
India is not the only place where people ride on the outside of the train, ask Eurotunnel.

Millions of jobs were lost due to the tech bubble burst, that was hardly Bush's fault. 911 was not his fault either nor was the rest of the worlds crappy economy. Outsourcing began way before Bush and due to high corporate taxes inpart it was sped up by Clinton.
I am not dogmatically opposed to outsourcing but I do object to the notion that it is an unqualified 'good thing' and that wealth creation and job creation are necessarily the same thing. I also happen think this relentless race to the bottom is creating an unsustainable imbalance in the world economy.

Where do you get your info from, you socialist state run media who are hardly unbiased.
Now you really are being stupid. Do you know who owns the most popular tabloid or until very recently the most popular broadsheet? Not too mention Sky TV or ITN. As for the BBC, run by the state or by socialists, bah. Any knowledge of the last 3 DG's or Chairmen would soon dispel that idiotic notion. I imagine all three parties have wet dreams about running the BBC.

Remember we saved your whole continent and since then you have resented us for being better than you are, get used to it.
That would be the Cecille B DeMille version, I assume. No doubt soon to be remade in colour by Mel Gibson with all the Nazis played by Englishmen and the US turning up at the party in 1939.

Life is not fair, there will be rich there will be poor. It is not the governments job to change that it is up to the individual to create thier own destiny.
Nor is it the role of goverment to make the rich richer and the poor poorer. I have always thought at least part of the role of goverment is to set the scene such that one is able to better ones self without undue interference not only from the state but private institutions as well.

Where in the constitution does it say we all get paid the same or must have the same financial status? Where does it say healthcare is a right or should be state run? Life is not fair, too bad.
Putting aside the fact that we do not have a written constitution, healthcare becomes a right when we actively choose to pay a premium to the state in the same way a home insurance payout becomes a right when you pay your premiums and meet all the conditions.
If you want a state that is forever passing by on the other side thats fine. You want a dog eat dog world thats fine too. But don't fool yourself into believing it will be a happy low cost low tax paradise.

Too late!! Bush is toooo far ahead now.....Kerry does not stand a chance....:bawling:

Hardly.

Bush is a mere four points ahead. Period.

For the last three presidential contests, the Zogby poll has predicted both the popular vote victor correctly and the correct margin of popular vote victory within one point. Three straight presidential elections.

No other polling service can make that claim.

Therefore, no other polling service counts as much as Zogby.

I frankly do not care that Time and Newsweek are paying for polls that seem to be engaged in a race to see how far they can put Bush ahead. It matters not. When the Time and Newsweek polls demonstrate the accuracy of Zogby, I will pay attention. Until then, they are an amusing sidelight.

Sort of like wondering who wins the checkers game at the chess tournament. :D

Zogby shows a two point advantage for Bush in a two way race, a four point advantage for Bush with Nader and other candidates included. Nader is going to run, so there is a four point advantage for Bush at this time.

Last election, with 10 days to go, Gore came back from being nine points back in some polls to win the popular vote. That was done in 10 days.

There are almost two months to go before Election Day, and Bush is just four points ahead.

That is all.

To all the Europeans here

Some people try hard to make it as fair as can be...Why would that be so bad?

If you leave it up to any government to make things fair what do you think will happen, exactly what already happens, the government will waste 70% of the money and wrongly distribute the other 30% to deadbeats who know the loopholes

Since calling the majority of the American public Idiots and stupid is evidently OK on this forum, allow me to respond likewise to the morons posting this:

. You STUPID Europeans are so polluted by Socialistic governments that your forgot what freedom really is, actually I’m not sure any of you ever knew. I have never seen so much stupidity from a group of misinformed arrogant idiots whose own countries have the very same problems you accuse America of. Any of you hypocrites ever notice how the larger the country the larger the problems? No I doubt you can even get past thinking of anything but yourselves and how the evil USA causes you such distress, get over it, it’s our country and we will vote the way we please, and all the empty headed hypercritical socialistic European comments in the world wont change that. The USA is the third most populus country in the world and as history should have taught you, the more people the more difficult and diverse the problems. All European countries have the same problems we have here, just on a smaller scale, but at least we have real freedom. Do all you Europeans want a government for the adults or do you want a wet nurse to take care of you? Maybe you should consider taking care of your self and wean yourself of the tit of your own pitiful corrupt governments and spend less time pointing crocked fingers at other countries you know nothing about.

IOW, Go clean your own backyard, it’s filthy.

Re: To all the Europeans here

Ahh, a Texan that explains a lot. To you anyone to the left of Pinochet is a socialist.
What it boils down to Kingdaddy, is whatever kind of goverment we have, we have because we have chosen it and that it would seem is what you cannot understand.

whatever kind of goverment we have, we have because we have chosen it and that it would seem is what you cannot understand.
Dido, we have chosen the government we want as well, so butt out and keep your socialistic ideas in Europe where they belong.

BTW I understand just fine, you whiny Europeans want the government to take care of all your needs, that's fine, but that's socialism, if you want the burden of your personal responsibilities taken care of for you then fine, stay there and don’t come to America because the majority don’t believe that way here. We prefer to take care of ourselves and let the government protect our boarders and interest abroad, charity is better left to the private sector where a dollar is a dollar. Now go bury your head, and try to at least control your hippocratic meddling
