Remove the cat
I'm assuming you are not much of a pet person? I've been a pet person all my life. For some of us that is not really an option. I have found a compromise with my cats. I cover my subs and the bottom of the towers with pillows when we are not going to be home. They leave them alone for the most part. They both like to lay in front of the sub ports during bass heavy movies and music.
